Pine Wood Derby

Today was Pine Wood Derby day for Pack 51! The boys were so excited they started in around 9am asking if it was time to go ..... it was a long haul but 1pm came and we were off to weigh in and more importantly race! The cars had to weigh in at 5 ounces or less - Luke was in just under at 4.7 and James was right on the mark at 5.

They each did great! Out off fifteen derby racers -- Luke took 7th place and James followed in 8th! Luke also received an overall award for the best "Boy Scout Theme." Great job troops!

In addition to the derby the boys also received some patches and beads -- James earned his Bobcat and Wolf Cub Scout Badge -- Luke received his Bobcat and Tiger Cub Badge. Luke also earned Tiger Track Beads. GREAT JOB BOYS! Good News for Sassy Rags aka Auntie Karen with the boys earning so many patches I'll be sending some business your way!

Chad did a great job with the derby cars! He didn't need for the boys to take first and second ---- he just wanted them to be proud of their cars and have fun! And that they did! Your a good dancing daddy!
