July 4th Parade

Shell Rock's Fourth of July Parade is one of my favorites! Each year there are new entries and the spirit of not just our town comes alive but all of those surrounding us.

This year was a bit "slower" paced for Chad and I. We had just two kids with us as two are in California and the other two where in the parade. Zach being the ever lovely pre-teen that he is choose to sit and pout behind us for about half of the parade. Occasionally there would be movement with a grunt or two and eventually he found his way to the blanket and even appeared to be having a nice time.

Here are a few photos from the parade. Some of our favorite people and places where in the parade ...... can you guess who they are?

#1. We love the armed forces and all that they stand for .... without them we would not have Independence to celebrate! THANK YOU for your service!

#2. Our Pizza Man! When he comes to our house he brings treats for the "Welcome Committee!"

#3. Who doesn't love a man in uniform? James and Luke where in the boat of boys tossing out water balloons and shooting up the route with water guns! They where so busy they forgot to wave at us ... or at least that is the thought I am going with.

#4. Love Craw Daddy's! They outfitted me with my wetsuit for the triathlon for only $19.00!

Next year I think we will join them .... They had the best seat in town!
